Complementary therapy is a term given to a wide range of different therapies which aim to support and / or improve a person's health and well-being. These therapies are typically holistic in nature, which means that they serve to treat the whole person, their mind, body and spirit not just the symptoms of distress or an ailment which may be presented or medically diagnosed.
Complementary Therapies can be adopted alongside medical treatment for an acute or chronic condition, the therapy works to complement medical interventions and treat the person holistically.
